## How much does ground beef weigh? Raw and cooked

It’s important to note that ground beef does not weigh the same after it’s been cooked.

The weight of 1 pound or 16 ounces of raw ground beef will be close to ¾ pound or 12 ounces when fully cooked. This is a reduction of about 25%.

It can be difficult to get an exact measurement as there are several factors to consider.
